Murrieta's Well winery is named after the artesian well located in front of the winery that the ledendary Joaquin Murrieta was known to have visited. Founders Philip Wente and Sergio Traverso desired to create some treasures linked only to this old and historic estate vineyard, therefore, handcrafting Los Tesoros de Joaquin.
