Wine distribution in the United States is determined by each individual state. In most states wine is sold through the following three-tier distribution system: Wineries sell their wine to a distributor or wholesaler, the distributor or wholesaler sells the wine to a store or restaurant, and the consumer then buys the wine from the store or restaurant. In some states wine is sold through a state controlled liquor board.
Murrieta's Well wines are distributed in 50 states in the U.S. In some states, we have several distributors or wholesalers throughout the state and in other states we have a single wholesaler or distributor for the entire state. Murrieta's Well wines are also exported to many countries around the world. In most cases, we sell our wines to specific importers who then sell the wines to stores and restaurants in their home countries.
